Forskolin Extract Side Effects

It should be noted that the side effects associated with the treatment are usually mild and never life threatening if and only if the supplement is administered carefully and under close supervision. With that out of the way, the following is a list of people that would not be good candidates for Forskolin treatment:

Who are not recommended for its use?

  • Pregnant women
  • although the research on this with reference to Forskolin is not very conclusive, coleus from which the Forskolin is obtained could slow or completely stop the growth of the fetus when administered to pregnant women and so it is not advisable to do so.
  • People with bleeding disorders
  • Due to the fact that coleus is claimed to lower blood pressure, it could be risky to administer the same to people with histories of bleeding disorders as it may increase the risk of bleeding.
  • Breast feeding women
  • Again there is lack of sufficient information about the effect that Forskolin may have on breastfeeding women and therefore it is best to avoid it until after the breastfeeding period has expired. Prevention will always be better that cure!
